My Story

Why Hello Calm Exists

I didn’t create Hello Calm because I wanted to start a brand.
I created it because I reached a point where nothing was working anymore.

I wasn’t dramatic.
I wasn’t lazy.
I wasn’t unmotivated.

I was exhausted - in a way that rest didn’t fix.

The Version of Me People Didn’t See

On the outside, I looked capable.

I showed up.
I met expectations.
I held things together.

On the inside, I was constantly managing:

  • overwhelm
  • emotional intensity
  • sensory overload
  • mental noise
  • the pressure to appear “fine”

A huge amount of my energy went into hiding how hard things actually felt.

By the time I was alone, there was nothing left.

When Everything Slowed Down

Eventually, my system stopped cooperating.

I struggled to start things.
I felt frozen even when I wanted to move.
I felt numb instead of motivated.
Joy became distant.

I remember sitting on the floor, unable to do simple things, feeling ashamed that I couldn’t “just push through” like I always had.

That was the moment I realised something important:

This wasn’t a mindset issue.
It wasn’t a motivation issue.

It was burnout.

What Changed Everything

What helped wasn’t trying harder.

It was finally understanding what was happening.

When I learned how ADHD overwhelm, masking, and chronic pressure affect the body and brain, something shifted.

For the first time:

  • my reactions made sense
  • my exhaustion had a reason
  • I stopped seeing myself as the problem

Understanding didn’t fix everything - but it gave me relief.

And relief made space for calm.

What I Needed

(And Couldn’t Find)

I didn’t need:

  • another planner
  • productivity advice
  • strict routines
  • motivation hacks

I needed:

  • clear explanations
  • tools that worked during shutdown
  • permission to slow down
  • support that didn’t demand energy

I needed something that helped when I wasn’t okay, not only when I was functioning.

I couldn’t find that — so I started creating it.

Why Hello Calm Is Different

Hello Calm isn’t about fixing ADHD.

It’s about supporting people inside overwhelm, burnout, and shutdown.

Everything here is designed to:

  • reduce pressure
  • make sense of confusing experiences
  • help you feel steadier when your brain won’t cooperate
  • replace shame with understanding

There’s no expectation to improve. No version of you to become. No pace to keep up with.

Who This Is For

Hello Calm is for people who:

  • mask or overfunction until they crash
  • feel overwhelmed more than motivated
  • freeze instead of starting
  • have tried advice that made them feel worse

If you’ve ever thought:

“Why is this so hard for me?”

You’re not alone.
